Backend WLS or EM application seems to be down

This error message appears on its own webpage(omsunavailable.html) when the Grid login page is called.

Things to check

  • OMS listener

Login to the server where the oms is installed: 

D:\>set ORACLE_HOME=D:\ORACLE\MIDDLEWARE\oms11g

D:\>cd %ORACLE_HOME%\bin

D:\ORACLE\Middleware\oms11g\BIN>emctl status oms
Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g Release 1 Grid Control
Copyright (c) 1996, 2010 Oracle Corporation.  All rights reserved.
WebTier is Up
Oracle Management Server is Down

D:\ORACLE\Middleware\oms11g\BIN>emctl start oms
Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g Release 1 Grid Control

Windows service OracleManagementServer_EMGC_OMS1_2 failed to be started
Oracle Management Server is Down
Please check D:/Oracle/gc_inst/em/EMGC_OMS1\sysman\log\emctl.log for error details
